Most people's first real experience with investing is also their first time risking real money. We think that's backwards. Cactus exists to bring trading and investing education to people at an early age — so they can navigate the actual concepts, mistakes, and decisions that come with investing before any real dollars are ever on the line.
Group voting, weighted contributions, manager proposals, market data — these are the same mechanics that show up in real investing, just in a setting built for learning them first.

We built the first version to answer a simple question: what if a group of students could practice investing together — proposing trades, debating them, voting on them — using real market prices, before any of it involved real money? That's still the core of what Cactus does today.
